The 16th Annual Conference of economic research forum – that will be held at Cairo from 7-9 November 2009 - provides a unique opportunity for researchers from the region to interact with one another and with international experts. It also provides a venue for the presentation of multiple research papers, both in the plenary and parallel sessions, followed by stimulating discussions and feedback. In addition, the conference features selected research projects and celebrates excellence in research.
The Conference comprises plenary and parallel sessions. The plenary sessions offer presentations by highly distinguished scholars from and outside the Region on a relevant and timely theme. This year, the common theme of the plenary sessions will be “Shocks, Vulnerabilities and Therapy”. The parallel sessions cover several other themes in order to accommodate the various research interests. They are based on call for papers and should fall under one of the following 6 themes: macroeconomics, finance, labor and human development, international economics, microeconomics and institutional economics.
