November 5th-8th brings to Earls Court the MPH Prestige & Performance motor show featuring the famed TopGear Live.Fans of performance cars would find themselves in an enclosed heaven with some of the leading brands showcasing their machines. From the Ariel Atom to the Aston Martin DBS Colante to the Bugatti Veyron to a wide selection of ferraris inclusing the Enzo, the F430 and the 355. The highlight for had to of course be the Citroen GT concept, a car like no other giving the French brand a certain je ne sais quoi!
Clarkson, Hammond and May put on a great performance, the highlights and details of which I won't outline in this review suffice to say they are just as entertaining in person as they are on tv. Of course that depend son how well you are able to see across the stadium seating, a few more screens, or perhaps a few larger screens might have helped those seated further to the back. Still, there were no short coming with regards to atmosphere.
Those with healthier budgets - read: corporate hospitality packages - with either gold or platinum tickets not only had access to private pavilions serving food and drink but also had tours of the paddock. While not quite the same experience of the likes of Goodwood, the experience is about as good as it could be for an exhibition hall in the center of London!
The event runs in London till the 8th of November, continuing at the NEC in Birmingham 12-15 November. If you enjoy cars, performance cars this is a shot not to be missed.
