The links between Sustainable Livelihoods Approaches and approaches to Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation is the  main goal of the seminar that will be held on 3rd December 2009 in Regents Wharf, London ,sponsored by UK’s Economic and Social Research Council .

This seminar  is a part of an international series bringing together academics, practitioners and policy-makers to discuss the following areas:

 

-          What can experience with Sustainable Livelihoods Approaches teach us about strengthening resilience to disasters and climate change impacts?

-          what are the critical requirements for supporting disaster and climate resilient livelihoods?

-          challenges and opportunities for bringing together Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, and Sustainable Livelihoods.
